CreoWork – Industry Experience that Makes a Difference

  1. What is CreoWork?

It is Creotec’s program that provides industry exposure to senior high school and college students to meet the curricular requirements of work immersion and OJT.

2. How many hours is the CreoWork program?

For senior high school work immersion, the program is for 80 hours while for college OJT program, it is for 240 hours.

3. What are the strands and courses that can be catered by CreoWork?

The senior high school strands include STEM, ABM, HUMSS, GAS and TVL. For the college students, the OJT program is for Business, IT/CS, and Engineering courses.

4. Is the work immersion program strictly for Grade 12 students?

No. Schools can send their Grade 11 students too and this can be credited in the subject Inquiries, Investigation and Immersion.

5. How many days will the work immersion be conducted?

It will be for 10 days, either straight or scheduled according to the school’s preference. However, straight 10 days is more effective and is suggested.

6. How much is the registration fee for CreoWork?

The fee is only Php1,500 per student for the work immersion and Php3,500 for the OJT program.

7. Why is there a payment for the program?

The fee is for the use of the tools like Zoom, server and systems plus the resources to run the program such as the program supervisors and support personnel

8. How will the schools or parents pay?

Payment can be through direct deposit, fund transfer or Gcash to bank featur

9. Can you help in presenting the program to the parents?

Yes. We can present the program during the parents’ orientation. However, it is important that the MOA has already been signed before the presentation.

10. What are the requirements for partnering with Creotec on the work immersion or OJT program?

The partnership should be covered by a Memorandum of Agreement that Creotec will send to the school. The MOA is based on the DepEd or CHED’s suggested format and content. A PO should also be sent to us to reflect the actual number of students who will undergo the work immersion or OJT. Attached to the PO is the list of students following a template that will be provided by Creotec.

10. What devices will be used during the conduct of the work immersion?

Personal computer or laptop would be preferred to be used. However, if these are not available, tablets or smartphones can be used as long as the supervisor is informed about it before the immersion proper.

11. Will an Internet connection be needed to complete the program?

Internet connection is a requirement during the synchronous meetings scheduled at 8am   every session. However, during the asynchronous sessions, since trainees can work at their own pace, they can do their asynchronous activities when connection is available.

12. What tools and systems will be used by the students in the program?

For the synchronous meetings, Zoom will be used. For the asynchronous sessions, each student will be given access to CreoLMS where the resources like videos, work instructions, assessments, work assignments and other content are stored. For logs, and specific work assignments, the trainees will also be given access to Creotec’s HR and Accounting system called CORE.

13. Will data connection be sufficient to access the tools and systems?

Internet connection through mobile data load can be used to access the systems.

14. Will there be a regular meeting with virtual face-to-face sessions?

There are scheduled daily virtual meetings through Zoom.

15. What if the Internet connection will have a problem?

When Internet connectivity becomes a problem, the trainee should inform his/her supervisor once it is restored so that the timetable for the deliverables can be adjusted.

16. Will a trainee who was absent for a day or two be able to catch up?

Trainees who are absent for a day or two will be allowed to catch up by finishing all the activities scheduled during their absence.

17. How will the students be graded?

The trainees will be graded through an appraisal system similar to the practice in the industry. The grades will be submitted to the school.

18. Who will handle the work immersion and OJT?

Experienced supervisors in specialized areas will handle the trainees for the duration of the training.

19. Will students receive a certificate after the training?

The students will be given their e-certificates after the completion of the training.

20. In the work immersion program, what are the TVL tracks included in the program?

ICT, Electronics, Computer Servicing and other related tracks can be assigned as part of the Technical Department. Tracks like HE, F and B, Tourism and related tracks can be assigned to be part of HR Department who can work on any of the following: Employee Relations, Compensation and Benefits, Health, Safety and Nutrition, and Accounting Departments.

21. Can teachers join the trainees during the sessions?

No. The trainees need to be considered like new employees and should be freed from being closely monitored by the coordinator and/or teachers. The program teaches them responsibility, interdependence and hones their communication skills to be able to raise concerns, when there are any. Close coordination on the status of immersion shall be between the supervisor and the coordinator.

22. Can schools choose their own schedule?

Yes, as long as the schedule is still available. Otherwise, Creotec will suggest schedules that the school can choose from.

23. Is there a minimum number of students allowed in the program?

No. The program can take in any number of students.

24. Do you have testimonials of trainees that already completed the program? If so, how can we view them?

Yes, you can go to YouTube and search Creotec Work Immersion to see the testimonies of students from different schools, both private and public.

25. How many students have undergone the Creotec Work Immersion Program?

More than 60,000 students have already experienced the program since 2017. In the new normal setup, almost 10,000 students have already registered.

26. What are the specific competencies that the students will gain in the work immersion program?

The technical competencies will be discussed during the presentation of the program. The soft or essential skills include communication, teamwork and collaboration, organization and time management.
