CreoApps – Learning at your Fingertips

  1. What is CreoApps?
CreoApps is a package of offline mobile applications with content and interactive activities aligned with the most essential learning competencies of the Department of Education. It is a supplementary resource material for the learning of Math, Araling Panlipunan and Filipino.

2. How many apps are included in CreoApps?

There are three (3) apps in the CreoApps package. These are Math, Araling Panlipunan and Filipino

3. What is the cost of the mobile apps?

The cost of the mobile apps depends on the quantity availed of. The fees are given below:

            3 apps – Php1,500                   2 apps – Php 1,070                  1 app   – Php    550

 Public schools have a different pricing. Please contact the Creotec representative to know the corresponding fee.

4. What mobile operating system is used?

CreoApps runs in the Android operating system.

5. How can the apps be downloaded?

The apps can be downloaded from the Google Playstore. Search for the name of the app and it can be directly downloaded. Activation keys from Creotec are needed before the apps can be accessed. There is no available version in the Appstore for Apple’s IOS.

6: How is the payment of the mobile apps done?

The apps can be paid directly to the school or through Gcash Send to Bank feature.  Creotec will provide its bank account details once the agreement with the school is finalized.

7. How will the apps be activated once they are paid?

The activation keys will be emailed to the school for distribution to the students. When the keys are received, the students can enter the code and the apps shall be activated. This is the only time that Internet connectivity is required. Once the apps are installed, the students can already access them offline.

8. Can Creotec present to the parents to explain the use of the apps?

Yes. Creotec can present the program to the parents and students for better appreciation and understanding of its benefits to the learners, parents and teachers.

9. Why do students, teachers and parents need CreoApps?

Students will be helped in understanding the lessons through supplemental lessons, activities and exercises through interactive multimedia resources. Teachers will also find the apps useful for additional assessment of students’ learning. Screenshots of activity results can be sent by the students to the teachers. These can be considered for formative tests. Also, parents will find it easier to teach and assist their children in understanding the lessons through the explainer videos that can be played until the child understands the explanation.

9. Is Internet connection needed when CreoApps are used?

During the installation process, Internet connection is required. However, once the apps are installed, there is no need for Internet connection.

10. Will there be updates on the apps? How often will updates be done?

The apps may be updated every quarter to reflect improvements and revisions, as necessary.

11. Can teachers record the result of the exercises or activities in CreoApps? How will   this be done?

Yes. The apps record the first and the last attempt of the student when they answer the exercises or activities. These data can be used to measure the improvement of the students in the learning of the topic.

12. What are the minimum specifications of the mobile device to run CreoApps?

The minimum device specifications are as follows:

            Android 6.0, 2Gb RAM, Quad Core or its equivalent  and Internal storage of 16Gb

13. Will there be a technical support team to assist parents, teachers and students in the installation or reactivation process?

Yes. Creotec has a technical support group that can address all concerns regarding the use of mobile applications.

14. How long can CreoApps be used?

The student accounts are active for one school year. After that, the students will no longer be able to access the mobile apps.

15. Are the apps transferable?

No. The one year subscription is tied to the account of one student.

16. Can the apps be used as the main lesson for each subject? Can CreoApps replace the books for each subject?

CreoApps can be used as standalone learning material if the school opts not to use a book for each of the three subjects. Also, the apps can be used as supplement in case the books will still be used.

17. How do the apps compare with the printed materials?

The interactive activities allow the students to participate in the learning process through the validation of answers and interaction through the responses. This way, student learning can be reinforced instead of just reading printed materials that may not be effective for all kinds of learners.

18. Does augmented reality in the math books only apply with the Creotec book?

Yes. The only subject that comes with a book is Math. Araling Panlipunan and Filipino  only have mobile apps.

19. Is there a separate fee for the book?

Yes. The book costs Php1,350. This already includes the manipulatives. With the app, the total fee is Php1,900.

20. Is it okay to purchase the math apps and not the book?

Yes. The apps can be sold individually or by bundle.

21. Will there be a teacher’s guide for each of the apps?

Yes. Each teacher will be given free accounts in each app that they teach and an account for the teacher’s guide.

22. Can the apps be bundled with other Creotec programs?

Yes. CreoApps can be bundled with any or a combination of the following CreoSuite programs – CreoLMS, CreoWork, and Creobotics.

23. Will the cost of the apps be cheaper if purchased in a bundle than in individual apps?

Yes. Please refer to FAQ # 3 for the fee.

24. How will a school partner with Creotec to use CreoApps?

There should be a Memorandum of Agreement between Creotec and the school. The number of accounts is indicated in the MOA and the payment can be paid directly by the students to Creotec or through the school.

25. Is there a minimum number of students allowed before purchasing the apps?

The total number of students enrolled in the subject for the school year shall be the  expected enrollment on the use of the apps. The enrollment should be for the total population and not just for a number of students.
